Heligan Caravan and Camping Park is ideally located close to many beautiful beaches, just two miles away the soft, calm seas of Pentewan Sands are perfect for children and adults alike. There are also a number of secret coves and hidden beaches to explore further along the coast.
These beaches are all on our doorstep and they’re all stunningly gorgeous.
If sandcastle building is your thing, you’ll be in your element at Porthluney Cove (aka Caerhays Beach). Sitting in front of Caerhays Castle, an impressive manor house complete with turrets and intricate windows, there’s plenty of inspiration for budding builders and their sandy creations. It’s also great for rock pooling and swimming, and ticks off all the must-have facilities.
This little cove near Mevagissey is just the cutest. It’s a hidden spot and demands a 10 – 15 minute walk from the nearest car park but we think you’ll agree that it’s more than worth it. Those that seek it out are rewarded by fine sands and an empty beach, as well as impressive views past Dodman Point. There are no facilities but that’s the joy of this beach, go prepared and lap up the peaceful existence.
At over half a mile long Pentewan Sands is the type of beach that families adore. It’s gloriously flat, golden and well equipped with toilets, car park, family restaurant and facilities.
This National Trust beach is a real heart stealer. It’s just north of Portscatho on the beautiful Roseland Peninsula where slick sailing boats bob in the water next to traditional fishing boats. With its many rock pools and small stream, it’s ideal for children while the Hidden Hut cafe has found Porthcurnick a natural home on Cornwall’s foodie map. You’ve got to go!
Please note, the beaches listed here do not have lifeguard cover, please be mindful and stay safe when entering the sea.
