New Facilities Block Update

As many of you will be aware, we had been working hard on the brand new state-of-the-art facilities block and had anticipated that this would be open and fully functioning in time for the 2020 season. Unfortunately, due to the Covid-19 restrictions, our timescales have been set back considerably and we regret to inform you that this will now not be ready until the end of September 2020. Regrettably, this means that we are not able to open Heligan Camping and Caravan park to any guests who are not able to provide their own self-contained facilities this July and August. Any guests who are booked into our static caravans or who will be staying in a self-contained motorhome or caravan will not be affected.
We understand that this is incredibly disappointing and frustrating for those of you who are affected and will have been looking forward to spending some time in the great outdoors, however our absolute priority is the health and well-being of our campers and it is important that we all work together to keep everyone safe and well.
What happens next?
We want to support you and your holiday in any way and our bookings team are working incredibly hard to contact all guests who are impacted by this set back. Any affected bookings will be able to transfer to available dates later in 2020 or equivalent dates in 2021 on the same pitch, at no extra charge. However, we completely understand that it is not always easy to plan so far in advance so should you wish to cancel your booking we will fully refund the cost of your stay.
To make things as easy as possible, our bookings team will be contacting every affected guest during the next week to discuss their options. For those requesting a refund, we will process these as swiftly as we can but we do ask that you bear with us if this takes a little longer than usual.
How do I know if my unit is ‘self-contained’?
When we refer to a guest needing to be staying in a self-contained unit we are referring to guests needing to provide their own toilets, washing/showering and washing up facilities. Sadly, there will be no facilities available at Heligan Camping and Caravan park at all so it is essential that these needs are taken care of within the guests’ personal touring space.
Will I still be able to empty my chemical toilet?
Yes, our Elsan point will remain open for the disposing of chemical waste.
