2020

Great site. Dog friendly. Really nicely laid out site. Nice sized pitches and clean facilities. (All be it temporary ones when we stayed). Helpful reception. Hope to return soon.

Great site - February - 2020

Lovely Clean and Quiet Park set amongst awesome mature trees. Great walks from the park and very friendly staff. Great Views down the valley and a dawn chorus that set me up for the day. Really enjoyed our stay. We will be back. Thank you.

Fantastic mid week break - February - 2020

Another wonderful stay. As always staff very friendly, courteous and helpful. Temporary showers and toilets in place due to new facilities under construction but these were perfectly adequate and spotlessly clean.

Motorhome stay - February - 2020

2019

Fantastic friendly, clean and tidy site right next to The Lost Gardens of Heligan which has a fantastic restaurant and farm shop, open all year. would highly recommend. On arriving at the site you receive a 20% off voucher for the gardens.

Touring Cornwall - October - 2019

This location is very good, peaceful and calm, even being open to dogs, the site is very tidy and organised. The staff are friendly and will help if required. The park is maintained and the grounds looked after continuously, pitches were cut and grass cleared and most looked level which helps with camping! With 2 children being adventurous around the park we never felt unsettled and all the other campers were pleasant May not have all the extras but they aren't far away in the villages or beaches, so don't let that put you off. We shall be returning next year if only for a short break.

First family break with a dog - September - 2019

We have just spent a week at Heligan Caravan and Camping. We had a static home. It was very clean and comfortable and every home comfort had been thought of. The campsite is a short walk to the Lost Gardens of Heligan and it was fantastic having their cafe and the Lobbs Farm shop so close. The views at the campsite were amazing and the walks from the Campsite were lovely. Mevagissy is about 40 mins which is perfect to built up an appetite and then walk it off on the way back. I would have preferred that tents weren't between our unit and the view. The car belonging to the tent was parked right outside our balcony so the view became the car which niggled me as we'd spent far more on our holiday than them. The holiday was great in all other ways though and we would go again.

Superb location! - August - 2019

Very friendly wardens, make there presence felt which is a positive. The site itself is exceptionally clean albeit old, I'm told it will be refurbished at the end of the season so that should make a massive difference next year. We had a lovely pitch, which drain well. Yes the pitches are sloped but face your bed downwards and there is no problem!. Bus stop on Heligan next door along with a farm shop. Very pretty area but be mindful there are a lot of tree's and wildlife so we have brought half a tree in leaves back with us stuck to the tent and several bird poo's with it! It's to be expected if you are camping in a wood.

Great view! - August - 2019

Stayed here for a week in August with caravan and our four teenage grandauters came down on the train to St Austell for four days .Site is very well run ,toilets etc spotless as is the whole campsite .Cycle path to Meva. was a big plus as girls could ride in and meet us for eat out then ride back safely .Also site has a good bus service into Meva.and on to St Austell ( stops at sister site Pentuan sands) . Helligan gardens are of course right next door Do visit Goran Haven its a gem .All in all this site is very well situated to explore the area. WE will return

Good location - August - 2019

We should have stayed here for the week instead of the main campsite down on the beach. Lovely views and a more traditional site with play areas for the kids to make friends and run around. Showers are hot, I found one with an actual tap instead of push button. You can get basics at the reception shop, milk etc. The bike route is great, all down hill to Pentewan, just remember it's all uphill on the way back! The site is on the Heligan estate which is very worth a visit. Eden project and Charlestown are a short drive away Will definitely return here

Quick stop over, loved it - August - 2019

We booked into this campsite because of its location, a short walk through the site took us to the lost gardens of Heligan and it was only a short drive to the Eden project. The campsite is smaller than others we have been to but has everything you need. The shower block is small but time it right and you don't have to wait long and it was very clean. The children enjoyed the playpark which was close to our pitch and made friends with children of many nationalities. Our pitch was sloped but not enough to be a problem for our family size tent. Lovely views.

Family friendly rural campsite - August - 2019

We stayed here for a weekend break (Friday to Monday) in a “Gold plus “static caravan. We arrived at the site early and were met first by the groundsman and then by the wardens all of whom were extremely friendly and helpful. The Showers and Laundrette were spotlessly clean which I’m sure would please anyone in a motorhome, caravan or tent. There is a small shop in reception which stocks “essentials “and the nearest Asda is about a 15 minute drive at St Austell Our accommodation was also spotlessly clean and well equipped with all the facilities you would expect in a modern park home with a balcony and views over part of the campsite and the sea. It is a two minute walk with direct access from the site to the main entrance of the lost gardens of Heligan where there is a café /Restaurant and a farm shop, there is also a path to Mevagissey which is about a 45 minute walk mostly downhill (Plenty of buses back up). As with most holiday parks the prices vary depending on the season. We would definitely stay here again

Absolute Gem of a Site - July - 2019

Stayed in a static caravan which was very clean, comfortable, well sited and spaced from others Lovely view towards the sea. Staff were really friendly and welcoming. The site was maintained to a very high standard. Somewhere great to escape to for peace and quiet in beautiful surroundings.

Highly recommend this lovely, peaceful site - 2019

This site is excellent if you want some peace and quiet and have dogs. The staff are always friendly and helpful, the shower and toilet blocks are clean, its lovely.

Regular visitors - 2019

This is a lovely campsite with everything you need in a glorious setting next to the Lost Gardens. Mevagissey is an easy walk, about half an hour. Pentewan is slightly further but still walkable. The pitches are mainly level & there are good facilities close by. We loved it !

Lovely Heligan! - 2019

We had a lovely few days at this relaxing, beautiful location. The site is clean, tidy and friendly. I love the trees and plants, very pretty. Lots of space for kids to catch ball etc. Very reasonably priced. Staff friendly and helpful.

Family weekend camping - 2019

Our first time to this fantastic site and very impressed. Went in a motorhome with 2 kids and a dog, pitch was level with an amazing view. Site was clean, tidy and well maintained, staff were friendly and helpful. Lovely dog walk near by taking you down to either mevagissy or pentewan. Small kids play park on site which was inspected daily and the toilets / showers always clean. Will definitely go back again and highly recommend.

Motorhome with kids and dog - 2019

From the minute we arrived, we were greeted with a lovely friendly welcome, followed by clear instructions of the site and facilities and surrounding area. The staff onsite are always happy to help with any query we had. We are very impressed with the motorhome pitches, which are ramped so no levelling blocks required, the view down the valley and across the sea is amazing. The toilet/showers are immaculately presented, warm with plenty of hot water. Overall the site is very well managed, from presentation to management. We will certainly return in the future.

Great motor home experience - 2019

We stayed here for 2 weeks and enjoyed it so much we decided to stay for a further 2. During the beginning of the season (Jan/Feb) only the hard standing pitches are available, but there are plenty. We had a great self levelling pitch with a view looking out over St Austell Bay and lovely green fields. The site is very well kept and all the facilities, showers etc are spotless. When we signed in, we were made very welcome by the warden who gave us a map of the site and pointed out everything we needed to know. There is also a shop attached to reception that sells everyday essentials. Considering the site had only reopened in early January it was pretty busy, mainly with Motorhomes.
Just at the back of the site are the world famous Lost Gardens of Heligan and Lobbs farm shop. A short(ish) walk will take you into Mevagissey or you can get a bus into St. Austell. Heligan has now become our joint favorite site to stop at and we will definately be back. It is extremely well run, the staff are very helpful and friendly.

Very well run site with great sea views - 2019

2018

I stayed here in early October 2018. I took two dogs with me in my Camper Van. The dogs were made very welcome which is important to me. Once parked I didn't need to move again (and I stayed from Monday to Friday) as there is so much that can be done directly from the site. Firstly the views across the valley to the sea are wonderful. There is a walk down to the sea at MEVAGISSEY without needing to use the road at all so dogs are safe. This can be a circular walk as well, but some of it is very steep. There are other walks but I didn't get time to explore them as I spent a lot of time in Heligan Gardens, which are lovely, even in October. There are also literally miles of walks around the gardens and the Heligan estate. The cafe at the gardens, which is accessible without going into the gardens serves all kinds of food. A lot of the food is grown in the gardens so very fresh. Just a wonderful holiday and can't wait to go again in the spring.

Wonderful holiday - 2018

Stayed here for three nights to visit both the Eden Project and the Lost gardens of Heligan. Really lovely clean site with excellent facilities. Staff are very helpful and freindly. Ideal for the Lost Gardens as they are just through a gate on site. Mevagissey is a 40 minute walk from the site. Highly recommend!

Brilliant - 2018

Fantastic site, arrived early Sunday evening and was told a pitch number to use, spotless facilites and really reasonable. Great little shop on site stocking plenty of basic items. Thoroughly recommended.

Overnight stay - 2018

Just had 4 nights here. Thoroughly enjoyed every minute. Spotless and clean. Friendly Staff. Brilliant for Walking or Cycling. Lost Gardens of Heligan 5 mins walk, good for the Cafe or the Farm Shop. Gem of a Site, one of the nicest we have stayed on.

Total relaxation - 2018

We returned to Heligan after only a few months because we loved the people , the view ,the proximity to The lost Gardens of Heligan, and the magic self levelling pitches. Why aren't all pitches like this ? It makes it so easy to park the motorhome, no chocs required ! Didn't have too long to enjoy this lovely place this time, as we were gardening for my sister , who lives in St, Austell. We had a lovely high tea with provisions purchased from Lobbs Farm, which is located just outside the site. Yummy !

Magic pitch - 2018

We have just spent two weeks at this lovely caravan/camping site and we had a really great holiday. The site is very well maintained beautifully landscaped and alot of very spacious pitches. The showers/toilets were very clean and it is perfectely placed near Mevagissey and Pentewan sands. There is a lovely safe walk/cycle ride into Mevagissey. Lovely wardens who were very helpful and approachable. Some pitches were unlevel but nothing that caravan steadies couldn’t sort out. We will definitely return.

Perfect caravan site - 2018

Excellent site. Well run and well organised. Clean, warm facilities. Well maintained site, clean and well laid out Wardens friendly and informative. Shop selling essentials. Good sized pitches. Would definitely visit again.

Welcoming site - 2018
