Things to Do at Pentewan Sands
When you stay at Heligan, you can access to our sister site, Pentewan Sands Holiday Park! Enjoy their facilities all year around including swimming and entertainment. To get there, you can catch a bus from the stop in the Lost Gardens of Heligan (next door) or the are two car parks on site. Please note that pets are only allowed at Pentewan Sands from November - March.
Swimming Pools
Enjoy a relaxing swim in their two indoor swimming pools, including a fun pool with a water flume and separate lap pool, both measuring 18-metres long. Heated to around 30.0C all year round, it’s perfect for the whole family to enjoy, whatever the weather. Heligan guests receive discounted swimming on their usual rate (Adults: £6.95, Children: £5.95, Infants (under 3’s): Free).
Tennis Courts
Game, set, match! There are two tennis courts to enjoy and soak up some sunshine. The full court is charged at £6 per hour and the compact court is £4 per hour. (Rackets and ball hire are included too). Visit Reception at Pentewan Sands to book your session.
Adventure Golf
Challenge your friends to 12 holes of fun on our brand new adventure golf course! Pay for your club hire at the coffee shop (£4 per person) and start playing.
The South West Coast Path
Access Cornwall’s rugged coast path from the entrance of Pentewan Sands. Walk or cycle to Mevagissey or Charlestown, and look out for wildlife along the way!
Amusement Arcade
Located in The Beach Club, you and your little ones will be entertained by the array of 2p machines, prize cranes, bandits, air hockey, basketball simulators and much more.
Live Entertainment
Enjoy live entertainment at Pentewan Sands, included in your holiday! During peak holidays, there's so much to choose from, including karaoke, quizzes, family fun, wildlife encounters, magician shows, kids discos, cash bingo (you just pay for your book) and much more!
Launch Your Boat
Take to the ocean and leave your worries on the shore with Pentewan Sands' boat launching service. Head to the reception when you arrive on site to book your slot. The cost is £28.50 for a launch and a retrieve, or a reduced rate if you only require one of those options.
Cornwall Watersports
Located right on the beach,Cornwall Watersports, host a range of activities including paddleboards, XL and tandem boards, kayaks, a pedalo, plus the hire of small motor boats, deckchairs, parasols, windbreaks and wetsuits. They are also home to 'Sands Sauna' - the perfect place to warm up after a plunge in the sea. View more and prices below.
Places to Eat and Drink at Pentewan Sands
Stingi's Fusion Restaurant
Open Thursday, Friday and Saturday for lunch (12pm - 2.30pm) and dinner (5pm - 9pm), dine in this intimate restaurant with views across Mevagissey bay. Enjoy a pre-dinner drink in the cocktail bar before taking a seat in the restaurant, where immersive Asian décor meets a soundtrack of sizzling flavours.
