As well as looking for birds, bees and bugs around the park, your little ones can also let off steam and make new friends in the children’s play area.
Dog-friendly facilities
Our site offers lots of beautiful walks for you and your four-legged friend, with miles of pathways and routes to explore. Canine campers will also be able to wash off their muddy paws using our dog shower after a long day of sniffing, digging, and exploring the Cornish countryside.

Garden adventures
The Lost Gardens of Heligan on your doorstep
Located right upon the campsite’s doorstep, take advantage of our exclusive discount and head across the lane to the magical Lost Gardens of Heligan.
Explore their 200 acres at leisure, discover their rich and fascinating history, before sampling fresh Heligan produce in their café. They are also home to Cornwall’s largest outdoor playground, the Play Meadow, which has a brand-new jumping pillow – the only one in the South West!
Wonderful wildlife
Get ready for a close encounter with our site's inhabitants
One of the many joys of being tucked in amongst the countryside is that we’re home to an abundance of wildlife – including a pair of beavers! They are nestled in an enclosure within the Heligan Estate, and if you’re lucky, you might even be able to book one of our very special Beaver Tours, which are offered free of charge to our guests.
Lobbs Farm Shop
Delicious Cornish produce
Just a short five-minute walk from the campsite is Lobb’s Farm Shop. Lobb’s Farm Shop is a family-run business that produces, supplies and delivers the finest quality meats, vegetables, cheeses, bread, preserves and much more, so you can be sure that you have access to the finest and freshest local products to keep you going during your stay.
Electric vehicle charger
For 2024, we're thrilled to announce that we have just installed a brand-new Project EV Electric Vehicle Charger. You will now be able to charge up your EV whilst onsite - so you’re all set for endless Cornish adventures. Please refer to our park map to find out where it is located.
Swim, sip and savour
Pentewan Sands
A few minute's drive away lies our sister site, Pentewan Sands, located on half a mile of golden sands. Out of season, take advantage of their two indoor swimming pools, complete with water flumes and a whirlpool bath, at a specially negotiated rate*.
Visit The Lower Deck Coffee Shop for a barista-class coffee and homemade cakes or head upstairs to the Main Deck Restaurant for a top-notch meal or light bite. Please note, that Pentewan Sands Holiday Park has a full dog ban in place from March to November.
*The swimming pool is restricted to Pentewan residents only during Whitsun Week (25th May – 1st June) and the summer holidays (20th July – 31st August).

Can we walk to Mevagissey from Heligan Campsite?
Yes. The walk is a 40 minute to 1 hour stroll down along the cycle path. It is all off-road and suitable for pushchairs.
Please note however it can get a little muddy in wet weather.
How do we get to the Lost Gardens of Heligan reception?
The Lost Gardens of Heligan car park is situated adjacent to the campsite and there is a direct access gate near the shower blocks. Simply walk through the gate and follow signs to the Reception.
Where is the nearest dog friendly beach?
Caerhays/Porthluney is a 10 minute drive from our campsite as is Hemmick Beach - both allow dogs all year round. Mevagissey has an area for dogs to paddle and many dog-friendly bars and restaurants and is just a 2 minute drive/or walkable within an hour from the campsite.
